Power Up sessions reward you for using more electricity when there is surplus green power (these replaced Octopus Free Electricity sessions in 2026). Power Down sessions reward you for using less at busy times. Rewards are paid in Octopoints. Both types run through NESO's Demand Flexibility Service.

PeakSave Sundays gives half-price electricity on Sunday afternoons. PeakSave Super Sunday extends this to 9am to 5pm. PeakSave Green Flex events give half-price electricity for one or two hours when lots of renewable power is expected.

Lets customers earn up to 16 hours of free electricity on Sundays by shifting electricity use out of weekday peak hours (4pm to 7pm).

FreePhase tariffs give customers free periods of electricity, communicated by text the day before. Depending on the tariff you either get credit for electricity used in the free period or are not charged.

PowerUp events set customers a target to increase electricity use by a particular amount during two-hour periods, usually announced the day before by email. Bill credit is paid for every kWh used above the target.

An add-on that enters customers into a monthly prize draw if they use 15% or less of their total daily electricity during weekday peak hours (5pm to 7pm).

Free electricity periods plus Reduce & Earn and Increase & Earn sessions through the Uswitch app, open to anyone with a compatible smart meter whatever their supplier. Reduce & Earn is part of NESO's Demand Flexibility Service.
